1. About us
Pickpantrystorypuls Padaria Lda. ("we", "us", "the bakery") is a company registered in Portugal, company number (NIPC) 516 402 887, with its registered office at Rua da Bica de Duarte Belo 42, 1200-054 Lisboa, Portugal. Contact: [email protected].
2. Use of the website
The site provides information about our bakery, our products and our workshops, and a contact form for enquiries and bookings. You may browse the site and print or download pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You agree that you will not:
- use the site in any way that breaches Portuguese, EU or other applicable law;
- submit false, misleading or abusive content through the contact form;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server or any connected system;
- use automated tools to scrape, copy or republish our content without written permission;
- impersonate the bakery, its staff or another person.
3. Bookings, orders and payment
Enquiries submitted through the contact form are not confirmed bookings. A booking exists only when we send you written confirmation by email. Prices shown on the site are in euros and include VAT at the applicable Portuguese rate. We may change prices at any time, but a price confirmed in writing for a specific booking will be honoured.
Workshop places are paid in full at the time of booking. Private hire requires a €150 deposit, with the balance of the minimum spend settled on the night. Catering for new clients is paid in advance; repeat clients are invoiced with 14-day terms. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store card details.
Cancellation and refund terms for workshops, private hire and catering are set out on our workshops and events page and form part of these terms. Under Portuguese consumer law (Decree-Law 24/2014), the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to leisure services booked for a specific date, or to perishable goods such as pastries and bread.
4. Product information and allergens
We take care to describe our products accurately, but ingredients and recipes change and photographs are illustrative. Our kitchen handles gluten, egg, milk, nuts, sesame and soy. Allergen information is available at the counter and on request; we cannot guarantee that any product is free from traces. It is your responsibility to tell us about allergies when booking a workshop or catering.
5. Intellectual property
All content on this site — text, recipes, photographs, illustrations, the Pickpantrystorypuls name and mark — is owned by or licensed to Pickpantrystorypuls Padaria Lda. and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may share links to our pages freely. You may not reproduce our guides, in whole or in substantial part, on another website or in print without permission. Recipes taught in workshops are for personal use; commercial use of our recipe cards is not permitted.
6. Third-party links
The site contains links to external websites, including our payment processor and regulatory bodies. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
7. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under Portuguese law, including your statutory rights as a consumer. Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss or damage that was not foreseeable when you booked, for business losses, or for any loss arising from your reliance on the general information in our guides. Our total liability to you in connection with any booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking.
The site is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that it will be available without interruption or free from errors.
8. Termination
We may refuse or cancel a booking, or restrict your access to the site, if you breach these terms, behave abusively towards our staff or other customers, or if we reasonably believe a booking is fraudulent. Where we cancel for these reasons, refunds are at our discretion. Where we cancel for our own reasons — such as equipment failure or staff illness — you will receive a full refund or an alternative date.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. If you are a consumer resident in another EU member state, you also benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
10. Disputes
If you have a complaint, please contact us first at [email protected]; most issues are resolved within a few days. If we cannot agree, you may refer the dispute to the Lisbon Consumer Conflict Arbitration Centre (CACCL) or use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Otherwise, the courts of Lisbon have jurisdiction, without prejudice to your right as a consumer to bring proceedings in your own country.
11. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on this page at the time you use the site or make a booking. Bookings already confirmed are governed by the terms in force when they were confirmed.
